Debian packages at downloads.skewed.de can't be mirrored over rsync
I would like to mirror http://downloads.skewed.de/apt/ onto a server hosted in the USA, but I'd really want to sync the files over rsync instead of http. Could you please turn rsync on for the download server? Assuming that the server is running Debian, the steps to do so are:
-
Run
apt install rsync
-
Run
cp /usr/share/doc/rsync/examples/rsyncd.conf /etc
-
Edit
/etc/rsyncd.conf
, changing[ftp]
to[apt]
andpath = /var/www/pub
to theapt
directory that contains the graph-tool packages -
Run
systemctl enable --now rsync
At this point, running a command such as rsync -r rsync://downloads.skewed.de/apt mirror
should create a copy of the graph-tool packages in a directory named mirror
.
