Precompiled headers?
Just wondering:
I was thinking about ways to speed up the build on a Linux machine with limited resources. Do you happen to know if using a precompiled header might work well with graph-tool?
Gcc only permits a single precompiled header to be used in a given file, but it looks like maybe graph.hh
is included often enough that it might be a decent choice to precompile. I'm not sure how to tell autotools to add a target for a precompiled header, though. Presumably, that would be important to ensure that all the correct preprocessor macros are set.
Have you ever tried something like that? Or are there any other tricks I might try to speed up compilation on a VM with only 2 cores?
Thanks for any thoughts you have.
